PREVIOUS PRODUCTION WORK
CHARACTER DESIGNS

These character designs come from a mix of previous projects, thesis films, and a few experimental pose studies.

My style tends to vary slightly depending on the project, which I see as a strength as it reflects my adaptability.

I focus on creating characters that are both easy to animate and visually appealing, especially for younger audiences. I often work with neutral colour palettes, as I find they’re easier on the eye and create a more enjoyable viewing experience.

VISUAL DEVELOPMENT WORK
EXPERIMENTING WITH
DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENT DESIGNS

These are a selection of visual development pieces created during various projects and internships as part of my animation degree.

Each environment reflects a distinct visual style, tailored to the specific brief or narrative I was working with at the time. I enjoy adapting my approach to suit different audience. Whether it's bright, whimsical settings for younger viewers or more grounded, atmospheric spaces for older age groups.

My designs are not only focused on visual appeal but also on storytelling and functionality. I consider how characters will interact with the environment, the mood it needs to convey, and the overall world-building it supports. From playful, imaginative landscapes to more realistic or stylised interiors, I aim to create environments that enhance the narrative and engage the viewer.

These are some life drawing pieces I completed whilst in university. It was to help us understand perspective, dynamic poses and the human form. The sketches were often quick to help us practice drawing to a time limit.
